This is the highest peak of our remaining journey. And while it is not all downhill from here, we won’t be climbing up even nearly to the same elevations as Eskimo Summit (5933 feet). And to the best of our knowledge we slept our last night in a national forest.
All of this is part of our journey, yet it feels somewhat melancholic to be back among heavy traffic and so many people. I guess we got accustomed to the solitude and small towns with less than a hundred inhabitants. And now suddenly we’ve been transported into the hubbub of California.
But we still have so much to look forward to as well. The adventure is far from over. So stay tuned, there will be more stories to follow.
